• Lived in. Sussex County Virginia which was formed from Surry County in 1753. Albemarle Parish was partly in Surry County, and partly in Prince George County. Most of the parish was in Sussex County. The parish register dates from 1711 to 1781. Most of the entries in the register were made by the Reverend William Willie between the years of 1738 and 1776.

Adam married Mary Peebles in 1747 in Virginia. (Mary Peebles was born in 1726 in Virginia and died after 1789 in Surry County, Virginia.)
