• Concern or Conflict. There are discrepencies in the burial places and dates of birth and death between published USGENWEB records for "Stinking Creek Cemetery, Hammons, Knox County, Kentucky" vs actual headstone photographs said to be from "Friendship Church Cemetery, Knox County, Kentucky".

Whether or not a date on a headstone is accurate is one issue, but I do expect cemetery records to reflect the actual headstone inscription (allowing for typographical errors and unreadable inscriptions).

Mary married Job Broughton, son of Willoughby Broughton and Elizabeth Hannah Christman, on 20 Jun 1774 in North Carolina. (Job Broughton was born on 30 Oct 1755, died on 27 Mar 1837 in Knox County, KY and was buried in Friendship Church Cemetery, Knox Co., KY.)

  Marriage Notes and Events:

• Alt. Marriage Date, 26 Jun 1774, North Carolina. Many genealogist have published 26 Jun 1774 yet Job's pension application states 20 Jun 1774. As of yet, I have not located actual Parish or Church records to verify either.
