• Concern or Conflict. There are discrepencies in the burial places and dates of birth and death between published USGENWEB records for "Stinking Creek Cemetery, Hammons, Knox County, Kentucky" vs actual headstone photographs said to be from "Friendship Church Cemetery, Knox County, Kentucky".
Whether or not a date on a headstone is accurate is one issue, but I do expect cemetery records to reflect the actual headstone inscription (allowing for typographical errors and unreadable inscriptions).
Also, I am going to trust that the actual burial place is Friendship Church Cemetery because I have viewed two completely different photographs from different sources, both stating they they were taken there.
The conclusion is that the USGENWEB page is horribly mistaken! "PROVE" to me otherwise, and I will retract.
William married Elizabeth Nicholsen. (Elizabeth Nicholsen was born in 1789, died in 1866 and was buried in Friendship Church Cemetery, Knox Co., KY.)
