• Concern or Conflict. DAR, Vol. 87, page 170. Their information is that Samuel Knox mar. Mary Luckie in 1774. Also Samuel birthdate is 1-1-1747 and he died 11-2-1837. Mary Luckie b. 1756. Their dau. Cynthia Luckie Knox b. 1813. d. 1861, mar. to Thomas Jefferson Davis (1810-1900), m. 1829. I would like to know more about the family ofThomas Jefferson DAVIS and Cynthia Luckie DAVIS.
• Note: from Esther Mulling. I have Cynthia Knox married to John Borders. This is stated in the will of Samuel Knox, her father--Will Book A Jackson County GA. pages 211-212. Cynthia and John were married in 1811 in Jackson Co. Ga. My notes say Cynthia was christened 24 March 1793 at Old BethSalem Church, Oglethorpe, GA. however, I have no proof of this.
Cynthia married John B. Borders, son of Michael Borders and Mary Hopton, on 26 Jan 1811 in Jackson County, GA. (John B. Borders was born on 30 May 1778 in Tennessee and died on 2 Oct 1873 in Choccolocco, Calhoun Co., AL.)
