• Note. 1850 census for Pickens County, Alabama list a Thomas Williams, Farmer, age 65 (fits DOB of 7 July 1786). However, the place of birth is shown as North Carolina, NOT Georgia. If it turns out to be our Thomas, then we have a newfound relative since it appears that after the death of his wife Mary Ivey in 1844, he married a woman named Catherine, born about 1803 (age 46 in census), who bore him a son Gersham, born about 1846 (age 3 in census).
• Relationship: 4th Great Grandfather.
