One note citing Mrs J. H. Murphy states the 1860 census for Pickins Co.gives Sarah's age as 54 and place of birth as SC. It also gives her parents as Thomas Lancaster and Sarah Lancaster. While the King Family Bible did not give the place of Sarah's birth, it does give the date as 17 Oct 1800 and it states that she was the daughter of Thomas and Anna Lancaster.
The family Bible of James Walker King (son of Thomas Peyton King and Sarah (Lancaster) Bailey) does not give the place of Sarah's birth, but it gives the date as 17 Oct 1800 and that she was the daughter of Thomas and Anna Lancaster.
The Family Bible does not give the date of death for Sarah Lancaster. I have used the date Aft 29 Aug 1846 which was the birth date of her last child. However, due to the fact that James Walker King did not have the date of her death recorded it could have occurred after he and his family moved from Mississippi to Arkansas in 1885. -T. King
