Records indicate that the families of Johannes Heydt and his son Jost (Hans Justus), emigrated to America. They set sail from Rotterdam to London and then to New York.
Since records also indicate that only four family members arrived in America, it is believed he died at sea, probably of typhoid.

• Note: Bonfeld, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. He was listed as a civil warden, and a butcher.

The Heydt home was a two-story house and barn set on about 2 1/2 acres of land on which they had a quarter acre of grapes and a sizeable garden. The rest was field and
meadow.

Johannes married Anna Magdalena. (Anna Magdalena was born about 1653, died on 6 Apr 1695 and was buried in Bonfeld, Baden-Württemberg, Germany.)

Johannes next married Anna Maria.
